Most of the time, men initiate texting simply because they want something from women. It is no secret that most men are ruled by their testosterone and they obviously hope to get something from those women they are desperate enough to text.

On the other hand, most women don't initiate texts because they are in control of their hormones most of the time and that they are very well aware why men are texting them.

I personally never text anyone but my family members. I am not interested in spending hours behind a cell phone screen. If I want to interact with a person, then I meet them in person.

I don't know anyone who texts. Many people can actually talk to each other.

I don't ever text first unless I'm not interested in someone and only texting for some other purpose like, "did you get the notes for maths today?"
