How long does it take you to get ready for date night?

Honestly, a lot of women don’t get dressed up for a man at all we do it for ourselves. Getting ready boosts our confidence, it helps us feel put-together, and taking a shower, doing our hair, or putting on a little makeup just makes us feel good inside. It’s part of self-care, not impressing anyone.

And hygiene goes both ways. Men and women should both take care of themselves. Being clean, smelling good, and putting in a little effort doesn’t make a man “less manly” if anything it makes him more of a man because it shows he respects himself and the person he’s spending time with. Real men don’t bash women for taking care of themselves; they understand the importance of looking and feeling good.

Personally it takes me about an hour. I shower, get dressed, and if I wear makeup it’s extremely light, barely noticeable. But again, I do all that for me. At the end of the day, if someone likes you, they’ll like you for who you are, not the extra stuff. But basic hygiene is non-negotiable… nobody wants to date someone who can’t take care of themselves.

The longer i prepare the gayer i feel so the ideal time is 0 preperation.

If you unbearably stink all the time and urgently need a thorough body wash even after you've been doing nothing sitting at home, you probably shouldn't date. ㅤ

I shower, do my hair a little, shave, and what I wear depends on the date. If we're going out to eat, a dress shirt and pants. If it's just a walk in the park or a coffee date, I'll just go in a plain white tee and either jeans or chinos.

I don't like using scents so I don't use any. I just use a mix of unscented coconut oil and baking soda for deodorant.

It depends on where we are going. If it's fancy, I'll take an hour. If it isn't, I can get ready in 15-20 minutes (not including showertime).

I absolutely do notice when my lady has taken time to get ready for our nights out , either just us or with friends, even if she has done it for herself , it doesn’t hurt from me to notice.

I generally look after my appearance and how I dress , and going out with her is no exception. When we are going out together we will put on some music and have a couple of drinks while we ready ourselves , and I give her a 15 min head start while I make her a cocktail or 2 because she naturally takes longer to get ready that I do.
I’m 30 / 40 mins to her hour usually , if she tells me she wants or needs to spend more time getting ready then I just adjust the cocktail period 😂

Showering and blow drying my hair in fall and spring takes me 20 min / in summer 10-15 / winter 30 min

Doing my makeup and getting dressed 5-10 min max

If i curl my hair, give me 10-15 min more

Depends on the occasion. If Im going out for a nice dinner, Ill have my outfit laid out/steamed. Ill shower and maybe wear some makeup. If were doing something more casual like going to see a movie, Ill put on some jeans and a sweater/cute shirt. Maybe dress it up with a nice scarf or a pair of nice shoes... Ill always try to shower and do my hair (which takes 2 seconds) before we go anywhere.

I like taking just enough time to look put together without overthinking it.

A quick shower, clean outfit, a bit of grooming, and I’m good.

I’d rather show up feeling comfortable and present than spend an hour trying to be perfect.

Because we lads want our lasses to doll up for date night (though I'd love her in jeans or shorts and a bit grubby when just us are together), so naturally it takes much longer for them to get ready than we chaps ala Brad Paisley's song,"Waitin' On A Woman."
