How do I tell a guy nicely that he talks too much?

I went on a second date and this man spoke for two hours straight about himself, ... again. First time around I thought it's because he is nervous. I tried to get some comments in but he spoke over me each time. During a two hour conversation I maybe got in five minutes of talking. And I swear I'm not over exaggerating.

I feel like that might be a red flag too.

He wants to go on another date but I told him that I don't think that we are a good match for a romantic relationship. Now he wants to know why. How do I nicely tell him that he talks too much and the fact that he interrupted me each time is very selfish and disrespectful. Or do I just say it like that?

I have a friend that does the same thing. I can put my phone down, go pee, pore a glass of water and come back to my phone and she had no idea that I was gone.

My ex was the same. It doesn't start of that way but after a few months they become like this.

Firstly, why do I attract these people and secondly, what do I tell him. Should I just say it straight forward so that he knows what to work on, or is it a me issue. Two hours people, TWO HOURS about THEMSELVES.
