If he’s being that persistent, it’s because he felt comfortable doing it and felt like it would pay off. In some way, she was entertaining it, whether that was because of the attention or maybe she had mixed feelings, but she wasn’t cold as ice, stern or discouraging. Clearly he knew what he was doing since they eventually got married.

if someone says no, just like fuck off. Why keep bothering the person after they tell you no? Being persistent isn’t always a good thing, and I’d personally decide after the 3 time that I’m being harassed.

For most guys it’s a combination of mixed signals and the antiquated notion of “playing hard to get”. Only dummies pursue women persistently now. Hell, i’d argue that only dummies pursue women at all anymore. If you don’t want to catch a case, be a catch and let her come to you. Otherwise you are bound to come across trouble.

Not even with just dating but with anything in general people who don't take no for an answer are THE WORST type of people out there.

An even worse part is when they sense that a person is more shy and when the person keeps saying no in a timid tone they just keep pushing and pushing to make the person "break."

Usually when a person says no in a more aggressive tone then they back off more easily.

I take a "no" as an honest and serious response. I won't ask again. I'm not gonna waste my time or a woman's time if she's not interested. I'm not gonna participate in games or shit tests to see if I'll pursue. I won't. I'll move on to the next woman I find interesting. And I'm not gonna pester a woman who has a perfect right to say no for any number or reasons or no reason at all.

Well one can’t fault his persistence.
Generally it could be that the woman wasn’t firm enough in her rejection.. this clearly doesn’t mean being abusive or insulting though.. just firm leaving no room for misunderstanding. Women can play games and want more of a chase. On the other hand it can clearly mean the guy is obsessive and refuses the abide by boundaries.

In short , it’s not always black and white

- Out of desperation

- Because he is a horn-dog

- Maybe he is hoping that she will change her mind

- Perhaps he thinks that his persistence will convince her to accept him

- He is convinced that not accepting no for an answer makes him an "Alpha male"

Because women don't know what they want. You see it even in couples. A guy can ask a girl whats wrong 2 times and be told nothing and then not ask again, but she'll then get mad he didn't ask a 3rd time because then she would of told him. You say no once, I'm not playing your childish mind games and moving on. Guys should do that more. No woman is worth asking 10 times.
