How can I work with him better to get the most out of our sessions? I’ve tried multiple therapist and he is great to talk to. But talking to him is like an itch I can’t scratch. there's topics thats concerning that he glosses over. And things that I find irrelevant he wants to talk about.
Like example, when I was super depressed I bought life insurance. He was like okay.
Then after when I wanted to bring up how I went on a date with a guy and he ripped my shirt and sucked on my boobs within 5 minutes, he tried to switch the subject fast.
But I bring up how my family made money in the 1800s and their status. He wants to unpack that. And that doesn’t even concern me.
he's great and supportive for the most part but it’s like he has a lot of blind spots.

I would have some items that you want to accomplish each session and make it clear. If he gives you a weird answer get him to elaborate or ask him "why do you say that" This question is under the dating tab do you think he is interested in you? I wonder why he did not want to talk about sex with you, maybe he is embarrassed to talk about it or is new to sex?
I had no clue it was under the dating tab, I thought it was mens behaviour and no I don't think he is. he seems like someone I could talk to if he wasn't my therapist but not date at all and its very strange he avoids all sexual topics even when that's the reason im in therapy
Well hang in there. I'm sure there are therapists that specialize in sexual issues or relationships. Feel free to message me if u ever want a 3rd party opinion. OFC I'm not a therapist but sometimes it is good to get another persons point of view on things including sex.
I heard people say that it might take a few attempts until you find a therapist that really suits you. Maybe you should consider changing therapist if that's how you're feeling.
Get a new therapist who actually knows how to do his job
