Man is married. If a man and another woman haven’t spoken in a long time and the woman reaches out and says I want to see you in person. The man says why? She says because I want to see you. His response is maybe. She says I think you want to see me too. He doesn’t say anything back. This was a woman he was attracted to in the past. Could he still care about her? He responds quickly to her when she texts him.

Cheating on a partner does not mean that the cheater has feelings for the other person or that the cheater cares for the other one.

It simply means that, in this case, the man was a slave of his testosterone and needed to get rid of it with someone else rather than his spouse. That does not mean that he ever cared for the home wrecker.

This man is a cheater and will always be one. If he answers with "maybe" then he is ready to cheat again and it will not take much to do so. The idea of fornicating free of charge is an incentive big enough for someone that has no dignity and self-esteem.
