I think it be weird. You know where their at all times.
3.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. The internet states the following about marrying in prison:
"Yes, you can generally marry someone in prison in the U. S., as prisoners retain the right to marry, but it involves strict prison approval, specific procedures (like chaplain involvement, background checks for guests), and adherence to facility rules, with ceremonies typically held on-site in designated areas, often with limited guests and no traditional reception elements like flowers or cake. The process requires the inmate to request permission, and approval depends on security, safety, and policy checks, with each facility having its own regulations...".
This excerpt is intended for US jails only.
Now, my question is why for heavens sake would anyone marry a criminal that does jail time?
As for dating, if it is OK to marry, then I presume that there is no reason why dating a jailbird is not possible if the window between the 2 people does not disturb.

5 moYou think it's weird to know where you partner is at all times?
I could date or marry someone in prison, but it depends on what their crime is. If they went to prison for murdering someone in cold blood, absolutely not. If they went to prison for stealing something of great value, absolutely not. But if they killed someone for killing one of their loved ones, then sure. I would see nothing wrong with that, and would even feel it's unjust that they're in prison. I'd also be okay if they killed someone who broke into their home.10 Reply

But , I did date and go out with ( 2 years ) someone that ended up in jail - 9 months for fraud.
It ended up she only got caught/ proven for probably 1 % of what she had done , I had no idea of criminal behavior until about 18 months in.10 Reply

u 5 moHow do you date someone in prison? The warden isn't going to let them go out to McDonalds with you.
Hell no I wouldn't do this! INSANE idea!10 Reply
5 moI doubt it. I just doubt that it would work.

5 moNo I would not. That was the subject of a "Seinfled" episode though. "George" was dating a lady in a minimum security prison. He loved it because he could see her only on his terms. In the end of the episode, the whole thing backfired on him. LOL
10 Reply No. I don't want to date someone who don't respect the law. I HOPE most are not a failure of justice. That is why I am against death punishment. Because there happen too many mistakes in the world and also in law and justice.
I never know if I can trust and believe this person.
If I could I would give them work. But a relationship is different.
But never say never! It could of course happen.10 Reply734 opinions shared on Dating topic. I don’t think people actually know the person in prison because they are given a false set of responses. When the person gets out, then they see the real person and it often doesn’t click. There are even reality series on TV that show these relationships over time. It’s generally a train wreck.
10 ReplyIt would be different if I was already married to them prior. But the nature of the crime really does matter here and obviously their personality beyond what put them in jail (even if she looked like rihanna, im not sure id date a psychopathic person dealing with a multitude of serious mental issues).

4 moI don't know how I could ever come to that decision, however I assume past history with the person would play a big part in any decision.
I don't count any of these flakes that get letters etc from prisoners, fall in love and marry as that is just outright crazy and a total lack of any good sense or self respect.00 Reply - 1.1K opinions shared on Dating topic.

8.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. It depends what they are in prison for. If they were in for drug offenses or murder I would say no but something like tax evasion I could work with that. If they were one of the Jan6th protesters I would see that as a plus.

5 moNot until they’re out of prison, and hopefully it was for something really petty and stupid and not murder but most likely I would not date somebody like that anyway and have no reason to even meet anyone in prison or know anyone
