Some do. They consider the personal matter "personal" and shut down bc they only want you to see the "best" version of them, especially when you're first dating.

Some don't. Some need to show you every little nitty gritty detail, which can be overwhelming.

Some men pull away from everyone, including their girlfriend, when something heavy is going on internally. Others stay physically present but shut down emotionally. And some only withdraw from certain people, depending on what they’re struggling with.

If someone needs space. Say so…. If you need love and support. Say so. Ask him what he wants.
