Do women become distant from a guy they like?

Just wondering if women back off of guys if they like the guy or know that the guy likes them.

When you say a women backs off what do you mean exactly? A chick can hardly back off because she usually isn't the one that is doing the chasing. But if you mean she isn't returning your calls or your msgs. She is either busy ( wait no that was the BS response) she isn't that interested and wants to avoid you because she can't tell you up front that she is no longer interested in you.

She may not be interested in you for a number of reasons which I could write a whole article on. But a couple of reasons ill list here.

You were too wussy and smothering her with too much attention

She just liked the challenge of making you like her and now she is just over it

She found someone else that was more interesting.

She just simply doesn't feel it for you anymore.

I know I'm sorry that those sound really harsh but there are honestly some of the reasons why chicks stop responding to guys. Another one is that she could be simply testing you, she loves the attention and will just see how far you try and chase her lol

And one more thing, usually a chick will only back off if she doesn't have the same level of feelings for the guy. If she likes you, she will return your calls or pick them up.

It depends on the situation, but women are constantly told to play hard to get and to control their emotions because once a guy knows that the "hunting" period is over, he'll lose interest. I still can't decide whether this is true or not, but yeah, some women get shy, some don't want their feelings hurt, some aren't sure whether they're liked back. Or, some just don't like a guy.

If you like someone though, the best thing to do is to show it.

Truthfully yes, I am in this situation right know I told this guy I like him and he said he likes me too. So generally I am a very shy girl, and so being a total scared cat I distanced myself from him, I talked less with him and of course in a conversation I had no clue on what to say! So shy girls do distance themselves from guys they like!.

I used to back off of the guy I liked because I was shy and mostly because everyone, including he himself, knew how much I liked him. I was actually doing more than just back off, I was hiding from him all the time!
