Why are dating apps so restrictive and expensive?

This absolutely makes no sense. I’m 18 years old and I’ve never had a girlfriend in my life, I’ve been alone for years with no one to play with or even talk to. I’ve tried dating apps but they are either “money restrictive or bot driven”. And this doesn’t help my depression and anxiety because I have no money and can’t go anywhere because of my family and because of the flu.

Dating apps are actually hook up apps in disguise. Is that what you are looking for? Stop wasting your time and potentially your money for just a few hookups and then you are left without any tangible results and without any money.

Take up a hobby or join a club to meet people that share the same interests as you do. Share common interests is the best way to make friends and if you don't have a hobby that costs you an arm and a leg, you can save money as well.

You have to be proactive and not just sit behind a screen trying to find yourself someone that will anyway not be the right person for you.
