935 opinions shared on Dating topic. Downsides are that you'll be subjected to the most superficial aspect of humanity. To where a simple 1inch difference I height could be the difference in you getting a match or not. Or if you do match, they probably most likely just want to have sex. Or if you don't match, something like your race could be the biggest reason why.
Upsides are that you get to see just how shit it all is so that you can avoid it.
I remember using one when I was like 14 & thinking "this is so stupid." I've never genuinely used one since. Only used it to troll people before.

The ice gets broken before talking in person. So the first time you meet up and talk you already know what things you have in common and you can have more fun and engaging conversations

1 yNot sure about the pros. The cons are itâs a terrible way to meet people and most guys on there just want to hook up.

Yes. I was catfished the first girl I met off of there. It was her, but instead of being 140lbs like she was in her photos, she gained at least 120 more, and it was awful. I don't know how people can straight face just lie about their appearance and get out of a vehicle a whole ass different person and expect nothing to happen.

m 1 yOnly pros here:
- Comfortably seated browsing IKEA catalog, sizes, colors, prices.
- Pleasurably self-labelling, with selfies, jobs and hobbies.
- Orgasm of THE MATCH, OH YES, gimme more, more, more !
- Thrilling conversations: Hello, how are you doing today?
- Captivating fantasies, because THE ONE must have to be there, waiting.
- Throwing money like a Mr Beast, subscription fees are delicious.

10 Reply There are no pros. Iâve been lucky and had great success in them cause Iâm ok looking, but let me tell you, the quality of the people is abysmal, youâre so much better off meeting irl, if youâre a woman youâre gonna get used and abused and lied to and manipulated for sex, the men who genuinely want you will almost always be ugly. For men itâs the same, except the women donât want sex, theyâre usually trying to replace or get over someone theyâre in love with, and it works out great because the men prey on that to have sex. Gotta remember, everyoneâs on there for a reason, they canât achieve love anywhere else. Most donât even want love. Itâs just entertainment. And a lot of people super over edit their photos, Iâve met maybe 15 women, maybe 2 of them looked like the photos, dating apps are awful, even just for hookups. Definitely prefer shooting my shot in real life. So much more exciting and rewarding.

1 yThe cons are it benefits liars more since most people who use it are looking for short term relationships no matter what they pretend they're looking for. Because of this, if you lie about who you are, the other person will believe you and having an inflated social status through lying about the work you do makes it all the more easier for a one night smash which is likely what's expected. Men won't care what your intentions are when they've already believed you to be using the app for that purpose, making it harder to get a genuine connection to anybody and in the worst case scenario, you might end up caught in a power dynamic situation.
The pros are that it boost your ego if you aren't actually trying to date anybody.
20 Reply797 opinions shared on Dating topic. I approach dating apps like apartment apps, I just check the lay of the land, knowing full well I won't be able to afford the luxury of renting one. So for pro, it's entertaining to read profiles. If it's OKC, they have a great question function.
Cons - basically a scam with "premium" accounts just to have the privilege to see who liked you. Very low like count is likely. ELO, if you don't know what that is, I highly suggest you look into it. Guys aren't really supposed to be successful at it, it's a business, they need you to come back.10 Reply- 485 opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yPros: You get matches
Cons: You get matches
You want to date, meet people, socialize, get dolled up & pretty/handsome then if it fails you feel you wasted time, money, suffered a blow to your ego, and feel like the ugliest person to have ever livedâŠ.10 Reply - 6.5K opinions shared on Dating topic.
m 1 ythe pro is the con...
it can go really good and and great for some (that's the pro)... but those some who this works with are a very minor percentage of the people who use dating apps... from the rest you hear all kinds of nightmares (that's the con)
so, it might not be the app... but what kind of people you are yourself, or what kind of people you select try this... lol10 Reply - 1.1K opinions shared on Dating topic.
1 yPros is you get to tell they are single, you get some base information (if they even provide it) for a conversation starterter, the base info gives a decent idea of their likes, you can talk to them without the danger, and assholes you can just block.

1 yPros:
Likely to find very easy sex (which I don't support)
Convenient to look and chat with people from the comfort of your home.
Cons:
Likely fake profiles with a possible dangerous person.
Scammers looking to set you up.
Can't get a good feel with a person hiding behind a screen.13 Reply- 1 y
None of those cons are accurate. I donât think you use dating apps often. Iâve been using bumble hinge and tinder for 4 years, let me clarify the real cons (for men)
âąa massive amount of women are still madly in love with someone, and run straight to these apps in search of a place holder to ease their pain, until someone they genuinely want comes around
âą depending on your habits, the apps algorithm slowly shows you to less and less people, making you feel inadequate but rest assured! âJust pay us $29 a month and weâll show you to more people!
âą the entire dynamic is shifted in a way that uglier less desirable women get much MUCH more attention than they would in day to day life, leading women who are maybe 3-4/10 to only seek men that are 7-8-9/10 and feeling like theyâre too good for men who are out of their league.
âącatfishes while not a huge issue, do exist, but thereâs an easy workout for this one I started doing after I got catfished which is MAKE SURE to video chat before meeting.
âądull conversations, even if youâre good looking, and chatting a girl in your league, there are 10-100 better looking men talking to her who only want sex, and she will almost always choose them over you, and then cry in her bio that âsheâs sick of dating apps because men are pigsâ
âątime wasters, these are women who will go the whole 9, just for entertainment, with 0 intertest in actually furthering anything
@nevoo: Go right ahead. The internet isn't a place to be screwing around trying to date people.
It's a dangerous place often filled with fakes and muggers and just overall horrible people.

1 yDating apps are okay but just be careful with them. Pros can be the comfort of sitting on your couch at home relaxing and not have to go out! The cons are you never know who your really talking too. But to each their own because in the end you have to do d we hat you think is right for yourself!!!

Sometimes people online can be less judgmental compared to unapproachable people IRL
CONSđ if you and that person broke up it would be awkward because you can't really blame them if y'all are both in the same boat
"If only I hadn't met you here" this experience could've been avoided
But then you know it was ur idea too
