Dating apps are too much maintenance?

Is it just me, or is it pretty hard to find a connection and actually maintain it when using dating apps? It's like once the thrill is over, there's nothing left?

Meeting with friends, acquaintances, friends of acquaintances, and acquaintances of friends is probably the best way to go if you have a healthy social circle.


But if you’re going to go online, I heard that Instagram is actually a lot better than using a dating app.


That’s because everybody is on Instagram (larger pool of people + people that aren’t actively looking).


While for dating apps, only people using the app in your area are available (smaller pool of people + only active seekers).


Not to mention the huge amount of people on dating apps that are just looking to hook up.


On Instagram, plenty of people are just doing their own thing and minding their own business.

I don't really have a social circle. My work life balance is off scale but now that I really think about it it's not that I want a relationship I want a companion.

I've never really thought about Instagram since i only like pictures and other things on there. I'll get on it.

If it’s just companionship you’re looking for, there are all sorts of places you can look for friendship.

If not Instagram, there’s also Facebook groups you can join or online forums with people that you share a common interest with.

If you’re into in-person groups, there’s things like meetup. com to find people too.

There’s also IMVU, haha. But there, you may need to sift through quite a lot of people before you find a couple gems. 🙂

Exactly and that's why IRL at meetup is so much better plus one can sweat on soccer pitch or share at "hobbies" etc.

Not only that, but they are a complete waste of time.

I second that. It's easy to fall into the whole scene when you're bored though
