Has your dating advice ever gone horribly wrong?

I told my brother his crush likes villain x orphan trope books, yk, marketing slop from book Tiktok... he started acting like this sarcastic gentlemanly male lead character with her and yeah, from her replies, she sounds *creeped out*

My advice was for him to start reading and discussing her favourite books so yk she doesn't get bored of him and he gets to talk to her but it's gone horribly wrong lmao

I've given advice many times only for the dude to not like it... so they ignore my advice and refuse it, and then they fail. My advice doesn't come gift wrapped and isn't pretty. I'll tell you if you're girl is an attention whore that will cheat as soon as you're not around enough... and what does dude does? "Bro, I know her, she's not like that, she's different with me, she loves me." Sure bro... and then time vindicates me.

Don't ask me for advice because I'll tell you the truth.

It's like on this site. It always amuses me how women on it will ask a question you give them advice and they don't like it. So they'll keep revising the question till you give them the answer that they're wanting to hear.😆 it's lime you just want to go, "why ask for advice at all?" Just do what you intend on doing anyways.😆

Dating advice goes wrong because a lot of information that’s out there is pure BS….. A lot of other advise does work to the extent but it attracts the wrong kind of people and the wrong type of relationships. So certain dating advice attracts people that are users, some of it attracts people that are mentally unstable, and the list goes on. If you play games with someone then tell me what type of persons you’re going to attract? If you pretend to be someone you’re not it may work for a while but you’ll generally attract people that aren’t compatible. If you use things like money and status to attract someone or just physical good looks alone you’re probably going to pull people not looking for a real connection.

A lot of other dating advice comes from people projecting what they want from a relationship much less from people who don’t even really know what they want. As well as people who pick toxic relationships or have been divorced 4 times or never been married….. ehhh yeah just do exactly what I did and you can be as miserable as I am.

Two extremes come to advise to men dating women. One is treat a woman like a queen even if she doesn’t treat you like a king, accept minimal effort, one sidedness, and if you just do better she will love you. No dude that’s going to get you used more until she decides she’s going to discard of you.

The other is oh treat women like shit and she will love you….. okay you’re going to attract women who have zero self respect and not the type of women who make good partners. If you want to attract toxic women who love drama. By a douce bag because you may attract a certain demographic of women the same as if you’re a pushover. Not the type you want

Advice can miss sometimes because people are complex and situations aren’t identical.

What works for one person can flop for another. That’s why good advice is guidance, not a guarantee.

The goal is helping people think clearly , the final choice is always theirs.
