How to know if you are physically attractive?

I fear the amount of compliments and praise I've gotten for my looks inflate my ego too much. Now that I am single, I have no idea what's 'in my league' or no.

Besides, I do have personality traits men are typically drawn to, so have no idea if my looks or demeanor is doing the heavy work.

Does it even matter?

Put the "league" nonsense aside. You know you're physically attractive if you draw the eye and attention of guys. They'll do one or more of the following:

• they'll give a lingering look
• they'll smile
• they'll find some excuse (literally anything) to compliment you or even just speak to you
• they'll stand too close
• they'll linger
• they'll find any excuse to touch you even just a little bit

It's not something they even do on purpose, it's just reflex. Don't take it too seriously unless there's an encore performance.

Don't let your looks dictate who you consider in your league bc men are A LITTLE animalistic when it comes to just wanting to be in the orbit of an attractive woman or a pretty girl. I'm serious when I say it doesn't always mean anything for them.

Look for the guy who has similar traits and interest as you do. Check for that "vibe" that connects you beyond the surface level. Do your personalities match or are you just looking at his physical appearance (or his wallet)? Be honest with yourself and you'll find the next guy.

It’s subjective. The guy that finds you attractive is going to be different from the next that doesn’t.

As for whether looks or personality is doing the “heavy work”, how can we know that when we know nothing about you, anon?

I'm soft spoken, helpful, a good listener and apparently I have a flirty demeanor, without meaning to. I'm also a bit naive (not dumb), which while bad, is something many men are into.

You sound like you have a good personality, generally speaking. The issue isn't so much you but the guy. There are good guys out there that will value that personality, as well as your looks.

Then, there are the guys that will place way more importance on looks. These are often also the guys with the endgame of getting into your pants and once they do, they move on. That is the tricky part is to separate the good from those that value the wrong things.

Honestly, it isn't easy to do. Guys that take a genuine interest in you as a person and you feel that are a good place to start and worth a shot.

Why do you care? If you're a turd of a human being do you think being attractive will be your saving grace? No. Only until your looks fail you. And if you're a quality human being your looks diminishing will not diminish you.

But yes this matters. Because if you cannot answer this question you're not going to make very good choices or have a very good life. But you won't realize that until you looks fail you. And by then it will be too late. Because you unknowingly never developed as a person.

I So the same thing as a man. Been ages in single, I have no clue if I'm attractive physically. I am health and in shape. But I don't seem to get the look from women. But as a woman , could be men think you are taken. Or out of their league. I just wish both sexes would speak their mind. Instead of playing mind games.
