How do you know if you are physically attractive?

Seriously, I am not joking. I do not know? This is a legit question. I just turned 19, and never had a girlfriend before (I have only kissed one girl when I was a lot younger and I am still a loser virgin not by choice :/ ).

I haven't noticed any girls staring or giving me any sort of attention what-so-ever. (I should mention I'm clueless at reading signals).

When I look in the mirror I just see me? Its really hard to tell, I think I'm average but not sure? I'm kind of hoping there is some hidden potential I don't see or something because I just want to know I am at least somewhat physically attractive, I would have so much more confidence.

Are there any-ways to tell or know if some girls find you physically attractive or not?

While there are still those people that are 'generally' attractive, you must realize that different people have different opinions on what constitutes beauty. I myself prefer guys with brown hair and absolutely hate redhair, yet my friend thinks nothing is more attractive in the world than redhair - everyones different.

But on another note, consider yourself lucky that you're a guy, cus apparently women are more likely to be attracted to a wider variety on men, yet us women are unlucky because apparently guys on the other hand have a much narrower definition of what beauty is when it comes to women.

But on the other hand, we learn. I for one, used to be more narrow in my preferences than I am now. I've lately found myself becoming attracted to girls that I might not have considered before. They don't have to be super pretty girls, because I've been attracted to them anyway. I won't lie, I do still have preferences but they aren't impossible or shallow.

Ask your closest friends. However, I do think it is way harder for a guy to tell and I am a girl though I am clueless too. What you might want to do is learn to flirt. Talk to girl and tell them they ___cute, pretty, etc___ then pay attention to how they react. Do they tell you are cute too. The only thing I learned is if you want to be physically attracting, exercise cause at least you can take comfort that you are developing a good habits and can see results (muscle,body weight, etc). Confident is learned and develop. Good luck.

i kno its sounds stupid cause we are talking about a physical trait, but really I think attractiveness is more of a mindset than an actual trait. if you believe you are attractive, smile, be confident and approach girls in a non-creepy way, there is a very good chance you will come off as attractive...unless of course you are absolutely hideous. in which case not much you can do, but you would probably know if you are hideous haha

try visualizing yourself as being someone else for a minute, and then look in the mirror. lighting is a factor though.
