Do men like to be courted, like women do?

It not so much that we want to be courted as much as we want to know she has legit interest. Guys are used to the games women just play for attention. So just because a woman pays a man a little mind means little to nothing. A man needs to know she has legitimate interest in him. Young, foolish men bite on a woman's feminine wiles. A man who adept with women knows to just laugh it off until there is actually some substance behind it.

We don't trust you because hard experience has taught me at least that women almost always have an an ulterior motive that generally involves money or favors or something else. That is a burden for us.

Absolutely. When men do it it's guess work of if she is being nice, interested, or giving hints. When she does it, you know she communicates her intentions which is way more attractive than manipulation, mind games, & hinting immature bullshite that honestly shows her toxicity, inability to improve herself & her emotional maturity.

fair enough :) maybe all guys, like all girls, are different? I have a girl friend who is a tomboy and likes to take charge of everything in that area, rather than being courted. She hates flowers and impractical, nice things. So it occurs on both sides of the spectrum.
