I made it "crystal clear" on my "dating profile" that I absolutely refuse to date parents, so why do parents still contact me?

I never want to have my own children, and I am also not very fond of children in general (except for my niece and my nephew); for those reasons, I do not want to date anyone who has a child already and/or who wants to have a child in the future. I put a "crystal clear" disclaimer on my "dating profile" that I absolutely refuse to date parents, and yet, I am contacted by parents quite often. I am wondering why a parent would even want to date a guy like me who dislikes children in the first place, because it defies all logic. Is it because I recently turned 50 years old and they assume that I am "mature enough" to handle their "baggage"?

If they bother to read your profile, it’s because they are narcissists. Women are infamously dismissive of men’s boundaries because they are conditioned to think of themselves as the prize. All you need to do is get to know her and you’ll forgive her faults and foibles. After all, you don’t really deserve her in the first place. Who are you to rule her out?
Maybe gay men are the same. I dunno cuz i don’t date men.
Supposedly straight men don’t read profiles. If gay men are like that as well, that will be an issue. I never understood the stereotype because i did read profiles, thoroughly.
I eventually came to the conclusion that internet dating is just like internet shopping. It doesn’t matter what the text reads if you don’t include attractive photos. Yes, this is 100% true for women as well. That whole “looks don’t matter” bullsh*t is quite possibly the greatest con in all of human history.

Dude you're 50, not 20. Most women within 15 years of your age have a kid. Time to check back into reality. Many women your age have adult children that you are not even going to have to worry about.

That ship has sailed, he should have thought about that in his 20's like somebody with common sense and realistic expectations. A woman his age having an adult child that he doesn't have to take care of isn't an issue unless you're a fucking mental case.

I don't understand one part of your explanation ("and/or who wants to have a child in the future"). If you don't want to have kids clearly state at the VERY TOP "no single parents. i don't want kids now or in the future." If you put it further down they are either (1) not looking at your explanation/extended profile bc it's too long or (2) not looking at your explanation/extended profile bc they don't bother reading before picking/swiping, (3) don't see it immediately and like the other stuff on your explanation/extended profile for some reason.

ALSO... at your age (if you're in your 50s), they'll possibly presume you've been striking out with the nubile betties and are ready to give single mom a chance.

Because so much dont read just look at pictures. The older you are the more difficult it is to find someone without kids.

I do not really like kids much and I never wanted to have kids of my own. If I am going to "settle down" (which, honestly, I am not even sure that I want to), I would rather avoid being around kids that are not even mine, especially since I do not even want to be a father to my own "theoretical" kids. It costs a lot of money to raise kids, and it also takes a lot of energy to deal with them (I do not have much money, nor do I have a lot of energy these days --- I am getting older and I am "medically retired").

Very few women actually take the time to read a guys profile dude. I haven't dated who's read mine yet.
