Do all guys have a type or can other types grow on most of them?

Speaking from personal experience, I have an ideal type, as does the guy who's going to be my boyfriend. We grew on each other over time, although we immediately liked each other as people. For everyone else in my family, they were each other's ideal types, immediately. The guy I like, likes girly girls who wear lots of makeup. I am halfway between girly and tomboy and I don't wear lots of makeup. I liked really masculine looking, hairy men. Do men usually have a type, like girly girl, tomboy or in between; and outgoing or introverted? He also prefers introverts, but I am a very social ambivert. Quite a loud person; which got me thinking about guys in general.

I think young men have TYPES. I think as you get older most things such as hair, eye color, height and weight become window dressing. Don't get me wrong, I think a person still has to be attracted to the other person. But I think at some age point that becomes less specific.

I don't think I can answer this, because I think there is too many variables involved. Men are not all the same. Our lives are different, and that effects us.

For some guys "type" isn't fixed. For others it is.

For example I know a few guys who keep going for women who look and act just like their elder sisters. It's a freudian thing to the extent that a guy typically does look for a comfort level in a woman so aspects of the woman he was closest to in his childhood prevail. In the cases of the guys who look for the "sister clone" the parents were separated/divorced and there was friction with the mom, so the one they were closer to was their sister. The type is set. Their comfort zone is somewhere there. LOOKS may vary slightly, but personality is usually dead on. (Some guys in this category end up with someone the sister is already friendly with.)

Other guys have "flavor of the month" syndrome and just roam the earth hitting up anyone who will accept them. Those are the ones you meet in line at the pharmacy for one of two things... party hats or penicillin...

Types are just preferences, not mandatorys, but guys do have their red flag preferences. There is no getting around red flag preferences and most of the time they are mandatory.

Usually obesity, laziness, don't find her physically attractive, has kids, live too far away, open relationships, no income, smells bad, bad teeth, into hookups, toxic personality, unwilling to work on herself.

They all sound fair. What about being fat but not morbidly obese, where you’re fat but because of a leaner body type, you just look chubby?

I do have a light amount of fat of 20 lbs, but i have my reasons for the obeasity thing. Main reason is large amounts of fat just grosses me out. The other reason Is commonality of lazyness, refusal of self improvement, aquiring toxic traits, refusal of exersize, gorging on food, horrible eating habits, and bad hygiene.

Large amounts of fat gross me out too, so I would date chubby or fat, but not morbidly obese.

I was always attracted to athletic girls. Once I dated somebody who was the opposite of that. I suppose it was out of curosity. It was fun for a while but it was obvious it was not going to work out.
