Do guys have a thing for femininity?

Question

I thought this was all in the past century. Men liking physically weaker, delicate and "woman-ly" (if that's even a thing) women. But this guy told me that he is in love with my femininity. I dont think im weak or fragile (i know being feminine does not mean weak but that was the only thing that came to my mind when he said it, i still dont know what he meant by femininity) 
he confessed that even when i asked for his help a couple days ago in opening a damn jar, it aroused him. Is it possible to be turned on by something this subtle?

True. Feminine is not weak. There's also a difference between feminine and being "prissy". I think a lot of guys like some degree of feminine, but not to the point of being prissy and weak. A strong confident woman can still be feminine. A feminine woman can still get her hands dirty and do things for herself.

That might leave the question of what is feminine if it's not those things. Well, I can't answer that. It's just something I recognize when I see it.

by the way, I'm not really into the whole feminine thing myself. It has an appeal - that lasts for about ten seconds. I'd rather be with someone I can play tackle football with in the mud. Girls who worry about breaking their fingernails is just not my thing.

I think it's possible, but I doubt if it's common to actually get aroused. Guys do like helping out with the strength stuff, but getting aroused from it seems way over the top.

i'm a girl but i voted a because i was taking a guess :p i think it varies from person to person but honestly that makes perfect sense. it's part of evolution and biology i think - "womanly" women to make for better mates to take better care of offspring and higher chance of them living to pass on the genes. it also makes sense evolutionarily when women like "manly" men - better genes for your offspring for them to survive and pass on the genes.

Personally, I like strong women that aren't so delicate. I'm not talking about a macho woman trying to be a dike or anything but I mean a woman that can do things for herself. I sort of view fragile women that can't do anything for themselves to be a bit childlike.

Now obviously because of the chemical differences in our bodies it is normally men that are stronger than women "naturally" though this could obviously be overcome with hard work from a woman. The point is I am totally down to help a woman do things she can't achieve that are too difficult for her physically but at the same time I don't like girls that give up immediately and always expect men to solve their problems for them whether it financial, social, physical obstacles, etc...

I've never considered any woman to be "weak" because of her gender or because she's smaller/thinner/what have you than I am. That's just a retarded thing to do.

However, me being a smaller, generally kinder guy, I find smaller, kinder and more feminine women the most attractive. Loving the color pink, wanting to dress in cute outfits and dresses, things like these — I love that in a woman, because they're traits that I associate with femininity.

Yes, but I think you and I may have a varying opinions on what makes a woman feminine.
When I say I want feminine, it means I want the following:
-A woman who acts "cute" (not to be mistaken with unintelligent)
-A woman who dresses "feminine" (dress, blouse, etc.)
-A woman who is kind, gentle, and nurturing (note: Guys can adopt these traits as well).

That's about all. However, above all I look for a woman who can be herself. I want her to put me in my place if I treat her poorly, and to understand that I'll do the same with her. I want her to note care what she looks like around me. Most importantly, I want her to be comfortable.

You're right. Being feminine does NOT mean being weak. I normally don't say things like this in public, but I blame modern feminism for the idea that it is. At least in part.

To be feminine doesn't necessarily mean being a damsel-in-distress, but at the same time, you're not G. I. Jane. It simply means you think, talk, and act like a woman. Whether you're a girly-girl or a tomboy, you acknowledge and embrace your identity as a woman, that you're different from men.
