How do you like to be approached in real life and in messages?

I guess “hey” it’s a fair approach but as we get into the conversation people need to match my vibe and my humor to keep the things flowing otherwise it will become a boring conversation full of “yeah” and “nice”. There’s lots of things we can chat about, people just need to make a little effort to get to know each other, but the way I see it, nowadays people don’t really want to get to know each other, they just want to brag about themselves or their accomplishments and guys don’t even want to know you because they’re simply not interested in you as person but rather your figure and get in your pants.

Honestly?, I don't really think about the "approach". It's more about the vibe.

In real life, someone who's confident but not arrogant is good, just a simple "hi" and a real conversation works better than some cheesy line.

In messages, I hate just "hey" Say something about my profile or ask a real question. Shows you actually read it and have a brain

In real life I am not sure i like to be approached at all. I am socially awkward a lot of the time so I never feel comfortable enough to carry a conversation.

Online in messages, just a friendly and polite conversation works. I like bad puns and dad jokes so that's a great opener as well.
