Why do I get a lot of interest on dating apps but little to no interest in real life?

I'm 22 and never dated. I've gotten attention from men here and there. It's usually not quality attention. I seem to see other women getting dates. My brothers have girlfriends.

I think there’s a lot less pressure approaching someone online vs face to face. They don’t have to worry about time or place, don’t have to potentially be rejected to their face. If things don’t work they can immediately unmatch and/or block you before swiping on to numerous other matches.

Dating apps often prioritize looks and a high volume of matches, often leading to low-effort, low-quality attention. People may swipe mechanically without looking closely, leading to superficial connections that don't translate to real-life interest.

Men may be bolder, more confident, or more, or less, respectful behind a screen than in person. Sometimes, the attention you get online is simply from a large pool of people casting a wide net, rather than genuine, high-quality interest.
