Yes, but we'd need to have some in common. The guy I'm talking to right now is more of a science geek than I am and his greatest passion is programming. I'm into the humanities and more artsy. I like that we have separate hobbies. I can learn from him, he can learn from me. And I think it's important to have passions outside a relationship to protect individuality and need for space.
But we also have many common interests and hobbies that we can talk deeply about or enjoy together. Without that, there wouldn't be a lot of common ground.
ok what are some of your common hobbies?
Video games/series and a thirst for knowledge. Is research a hobby in and of itself? We also like creative writing, though he focuses more on world-building and I like the character-building. It's a lot of fun to get lost in the world of ideas.
Hell yeah i love research. I needs that knowledge lol
I can and I have. Although, we'd at least have to go on walks together. So far that hasn't been an issue.
got it lol ;)
No dilemma here. Luckily. If I had to only date girls into TBT strategy or pixel art, well, that would seriously reduce my options lol.
Just like what others commented already, there's always common interests to share anyway, often it's something quite intellectual, sometimes it's more art related. In best cases, it's both 😌
Well what are relationships other than, two individual people bonded by love.
Of course some hobbies or interests will be different and it’s okay as long as you can stand one another’s company and you love eachother deeply I see no reason why I would oppose a partner who doesn’t align with my preferred interests.

Yes, who knows it becomes a new hobby for me as well!
Great way to look at it 👍🏻
I think some shared interests need to exist, but the rest can be completely different hobbies, yes.
It's good to have common interests, but also good to have time to yourselves.
Absolutely, and I’d prefer it.
What were your hobbies again. I think you like games and reading right?
Mostly painting and reading these days, and they’re solo hobbies in my eyes. I’d get too distracted doing them with someone else.
Gaming is the only hobby that I enjoy doing with others, but it’s not a necessity with a partner.
Yes I did and would.
Sure
What are your hobbies?
Reading, hanging out on the beach, hanging out with friends, hiking, talking about literature and history, tabletop roleplaying games
Ohh tabletop. Good one lol
Thanks!
