Have you ever been asked out by someone you felt was out of your league?

I have had that happen to me several times in my life.

I don't know why I could go to a club and end up with the most handsome guy in the entire place.

Even my first husband was very very handsome and I couldn't believe that he asked me to marry him. He was also very sweet!

That happened to me at work as well.

The few times I got asked out the girl was very average


There is one exception
A girl I matched with online
She was a total smoke show
And within a few minutes of talking she basically told me to ask her out that sam night
So I did.
And we had an amazing date, start to finish.


The next morning she told me she had a five year old son (she was 24 at the time) and I told her I didn’t think any less of her for it but she ghosted me later that day


My guess is she wanted a night for herself when someone else was watching the kid that night but woke up to realize she’s not ready for her kid to see her dating.


Which is sad because honestly she was a 10, both in looks, and intellect
It was only one night and I doubt I’ll ever truly forget I met her

There aren't really leagues. Just human connection, in all its difficult glory. Sure, you need to have some overlaps in purpose, morality, respect... living on the same continent... but there's not a checklist to be filled.

With my first boyfriend, I would often wonder how did I get this lucky , because he was so fine.

I believe it's something completely different is somebody believes that I'm not or I can't be in their league I don't want to be around him anyway I'm probably in a better League and if I had to play that way while I was playing I would lose anyway because I'm not going to let somebody see the real me anyway especially if it's a game like that but it's all done and said I'll show whoever exactly who I am but I'm not going to show them the real me until after I already lost in their eyes

I never believed in stuff like that, so no... I don't see people like that and I have not felt like that either

now, when it comes to looks, I know very well that I am not what people would say "model, movie blockbuster type" I don't have that kind of face, whoever... I'm not ugly either, lol

obviously... girls see something they like on my face, so that wasn't an issue either but more importantly... relationships are about a whole lot more other things than just a pretty face, of which I got plenty so there's nothing to feel inadequate about

with that being said though... there's been times in which it's been like that for people... you know, when your girl is just so much strikingly better looking that the cashier puts the plastic divider in the middle of your groceries... lol

I never really believed in a league system. I knew guys who I thought were real losers end up with hot girlfriends. I knew this middle aged bald guy who was the manager of the gym I belonged to when I was in high school. He was not in shape like most gym managers were he was not wealthy and he was from Israel and did not speak very good English. Still he had many hot girlfriends.

I have been asked out by women a few times in my life but never thought they were out of my league.

Once, surprised me, the problem was, I really didn't like her, she was always mad about something and arguing with people. When she wasn't she had a gorgeous face, body, and she was funny, and fun to talk too.
