Is this guy genuinely into me or just leading me on again?

i been seeing this guy for a while now. I really like him. He kept calling me his "cute little wifey". but then toward the end of the meet, the energy shifted. He became less affectionate and more like he has something on his mind, thinking about something else. After I got home, I sent him a big red heart text emoji and he never responded. Then the next day, he didn't send me a good morning text (like my most other exes have done), by 12p I missed him so much that I texted him... He never replied. By 6:30p- i texted him again asking him why he didn't reply. He said he was sick. I asked him if he had doubts about our relationship. he says he's thinking about it...

I don't know but this puts me on edge and gives me bad vibes. The least thing he could've done when I sent him a heart, is to give me a good night message back.

I have been used before. I don't want to be played again.

I say this respectfully, but if you really don’t wanna get played again then why risk it? Reading through this, it sounds like your heart takes the lead, not your head, and not logic. There are glaring red flags here, which I think you notice but are too emotionally invested to acknowledge them, and that sucks.

Actions speak louder than words, and he is showing you exactly who he is. You could either keep ignoring it because you don’t have much self control and really like him, or use your common sense and walk away. I get that it would be disappointing, having another failed connection under your belt, but it is what it is.

It’s hard to say since I don't know the details of your dating relationship or how long it has been. But one thing is clear is that he has somethings on his mind. It’s easy to doubt his feelings changed but then again we usually have good intuition. It’s important to have honest conversations. And at the end of the day, we shouldn’t be investing in someone who don’t see a future with us right? It’s always scary to care and being hurt, but it’s also important to be open to what he has to say. You can ask him on what’s on his mind, what he think about yalls, how is he feeling, or why is he being distant. It’s also the first time he’s done this, so who knows what’s going on.

But I find his lack of response after I sent him the heart, very unsettling
