I said sorry I’m not interested in him. He said okay thanks take care. And he also threw in a joke about basketball then the conversation ended. Then he unfollowed me a few days after.

Now a month later he randoms DMs me and asks if he could get to know me. I told them this wasn’t expected and he asked if it was “too soon” I said no I’m just surprised why didn't you shoot your shot first. He said I don't know why it’s just easier to set up other people.

Possibly he was in a relationship when he first met you, and once he was single again he decided to shoot his shot with you.

He might have been attracted to you from the beginning, or he might be looking for a rebound girl.
