Why do men who rejected me for others always try to come back later?

This week, I’ve had multiple past love interests, ranging from crushes, lost loves and ex boyfriends who all chose someone they received as being better, trying to return to me.

One of them in my late teens, ditched me for a prettier, cooler girl, who he married and knocked up. Years later, he’s divorced and bald. The girl was a bitch, but she was gorgeous and fun. He thinks he can have a shot with me, seventeen years later.

Others have chosen to sleep around with prettier, more exciting options, then they’ve been genuinely surprised or even annoyed when I’ve refused to give them a second chance. Some have been downright insulting, because they thought I would always be there.

You’ve obviously been hanging around a lot of guys who had vastly over, inflated opinions of themselves. Now that they have gone and embarrassed themselves by “shooting their shot“ and missing they’ve decided to come back down to earth and humble themselves. Before I date people like that I make sure they have to humble themselves even more.

How do I stop this from happening in future (guys seeing me as easy prey)?

Why do some of them get angry when I won’t have anything to do with them?
