I used to have a professor who worked in television and he was always comparing things to hallmark movies because "my wife makes me watch them"

What someone chooses to watch doesn’t say much on its own, if anything, it can show they’re open to different kinds of stories or just enjoy something simple and feel good.

A red flag is more about behavior and character, not harmless preferences like that.
