If men lost fertility in their 30s, would women date much younger men?

we all know the real reason why is so common for women date and commit to men who are years and decades older than them is because of hypergamy.

not saying I blame them but older men will always have the upper hand when it comes to bringing more value to the table. they are...

• more mature
• financially stable
• more wiser
• still able to retain their youth (if they take care of themselves)
• more experienced in bed

however what if men start to age like women do and eventually lose their fertility after their 30s? would you still give them a chance?

Most animals in the wild don't live much beyond their reproductive years. Evolutionary it is a waste of effort because living longer than reproductive years doesn't contribute to the propagation of the species.

Humans are a bit different because those past reproductive years still aid survival of the tribe by passing on knowledge. In paleo days men had much higher mortality. Even today Australian aborigine men get disproportionately bitten by quite toxic snakes.

Say in a tribe of 50 women and 50 men it is quite possible that all but one man would be killed in a battle. But if one boy or old man survived because they were too old or young, the the surviving boy or old man could knock up all the women and in 20 years the tribe would be back to full strength.

It just made sense for evolution to favor men having extended fertility.

If it wasn't so? Undoubtedly women would prefer 18 yo men just as men prefer 18 yo girls. If they couldn't bond 18yo to them, they would just accept semen donations.

I do think there are enough examples of men and women both aging like fine wine to rule out it being a gender thing. Although sure, youth markers tend to be part of what is valued in women.

As for fertility it is more interesting! Technically if fertility decided attraction we should all be into 16 year olds. However the generally seen as most attractive is 23, for men and women both.

I do think if men became infertile post 45 or something it would change it a bit. Attraction does not seem to be tightly bound to fertility though. I have not found 16 year olds attractive since I was around 16.

anyways I share the same views as you. I was never sexually attractive to younger women either, especially if she is young enough to be my daughter hence why today at 38 going to 39 in 2 months I probably will never a start a family.

I do assume it would impact things a bit. Not there yet myself but fair to say men tend to be okay with younger women. Might be societal though.

older men aren't better in bed. Starting at 40, men start seeing the first signs of erectile dysfunction, a weakening dick. It get worse as he gets older. So... I voted no, but it's a "no" to the question in the title. See, most Western women fight for the "right" to murder their unborn children. What makes You believe they would care about their partners' fertility? If anything, they would consider it "consequences-free fun". It's mostly men who realize what demographics is and how important it is for the population... Men and exceptional women like Shoe0nHead and Her reactors. And the bottom line , very few women age well , some can , but menopause is just a killer...

Young guys need to step up to the plate , stop looking for mother's , and be capable in all those areas you mention.

It comes down to lifestyle choices and mainly genetics though rare there are women out there that don't seem to age and visually look incredibly young even at a advanced age.
