Is it a red flag?

yesterday, i met a guy on a dating app. I wanted to talk over the phone. But he didn't. He wanted to video call me the next day afternoon. I woke up at 11:30a, and never received a text from him for an afternoon call. Then I had to reschedule the afternoon call to the evening. Its 7p and I don't hear from him at all. So I texted him asking when he wants to video call... he told me he was out at dinner and will do it later on when he gets back home. Its not 11pm and I still haven't heard from him. Throughout last night and today afternoon, we exchanged a few texts. he seemed like a fairly good guy. But he doesn't sound like he follows his words or promises.

is this guy a red flag? should i drop him?

I'd say the dinner was the red flag and infer he had taken a girl out to dinner.

you can't be sure about that. but i just don't have a good taste in my mouth. i like to reject bad guys before i go deeper with them

No I can't be sure but I'd be thinking it if a girl did the same to me. At the least I'd know I wasn't at the top of her priority list and would walk.
