No, you don't, and I'm sure you have many requirements for a woman you would date. I'm 5-8. When I divorced I had little money, was about 20 overweight, and had no trouble attracting women. If you are finding it difficult, it's likely your approach or your attitude. Women loved me because I loved them back, and most importantly I paid attention to them. I like women, and would rather take an interesting woman to dinner just for the conversation than sit in some sports bar drinking beer with male friends.

My question to men having trouble dating is "How many women do you greet by name?" If that's zero, work on that. Ask for the names of everyone you see on the regular, male or female -- bartenders, servers, grocery store clerks, everyone. Keep notes on your phone so you can greet them by name the next time you see them. You will get comfortable talking to strangers which will make it a lot easier for you to approach a woman without putting her off.
