In a new relationship, how often should couples call or meet each week?

I hear it’s daily and I’ve never had a guy call date me daily , it’s always just 1x a week 😓

let’s say you don’t live close and you aren’t living together yet , it’s new relationship.
is calling on phone 2x a week okay? Or do girls call boyfriend daily? 7 days a week?

In a new relationship calls and texts should be a daily occurrence , when someone can go days without calling or texting their partner , then that usually means they are up to no good or that you aren’t that important to them and they just like the convenience of you. Which is something you should really reconsider if that is the case. When I really like a girl , I want to hear from her as much as possible , whether it’s a simple text or phone call just to say hi and to see how they are doing and they should do the same in return , without great communication between the both of you , that relationship will probably not last. Because it’s just a matter of time before one of you gets fed up that the communication between you sucks. , so never be a convenience to anyone , be with someone that makes you a top priority the same way you do for them , if you constantly feel like you are giving without receiving the same or close to in return, that partner isn’t the right partner for you , kick them to the curb and find someone that wants to hear from you and see you on a regular basis. I am not saying they have to hold your hand at all times but you should always be a thought and a priority on a daily basis. Whether they are working or on a trip somewhere , it doesn’t take a lot of work to send a text to someone you care about. And want to be closer to. A partner should be your best friend , not just a friend that calls you or texts you when it’s convenient for them

I guess that's for every couple in a relationship to decide for themselves and as it works for them... because, what might work and feel right or natural for some... might vary and be different from other people/couples

personally... and, this is very personal of course

if someone is not willing and able, and not really into meeting me and talking (in person) every single day, then, I don't have anything to do with that person

now, I understand that this doesn't work best in a dating scenario... but that's my point I don't really date in the way that most people do... the "getting to know one another" phase and talking, I do it differently... but once we're into going for something else, then we're going full throttle lol... and not just "let's see what happens on the weekly"

that's just not for me...

Some people want multiple texts a day, some once a day, some a few times a week. You can ask what's OK with your new person. If it's too little, ask for a bit more. Too much, ask for less. And agree to do said.

I think people who are older and confident about what's developing with their relationship don't need constant validation. Others want more.

There's no "should". What do you want? When I'm dating someone local that I haven't known long, I only text to set up the next date. If we're exclusive and intimate, then I text maybe once a day.
