Texts slowed down after amazing 7‑hour first date—am I being ghosted?

We texted for about a week before the first date he wouldn’t take more than an hour to text me back and if he did he would apologize and say why. Then we went on a first date and it lasted 7hrs. He did most of the talking tbh. But ever since the date his texts have been dragging. Is he slowly ghosting or something?

In a general sense, I’d say it’s normal for texts to slow down. You start running out of topics after you’ve exhausted them, and you guys should be transitioning into other things, like talking on the phone or trying to hang out more. Rather than casual texts through the day, you should be putting a second date on the books. If neither of you are initiating that, and you just overall feel like he’s losing interest then you could either directly ask about where his head is at, or just assume he’s not feeling it and quietly move on.

He should have either planned another date or told you it wasn't going to work. He's busy looking for something else. Don't wait for him. Date other people.
