Is it normal to lose your balance hugging someone much taller than you?

A couple of times now this guy who is 6 ft 1 has gave me a hug and I’ve lost my balance and pretty much fell into him. I’m 5 ft 2, my ex was 6ft1 too and I’ve gone out with a guy who was 6 ft 3. This has never happened to me before. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience?

After a first date with one particular lady who was 30 years old, 5'1" and gorgeous (I'm 6'2" and was 36 at the time), I walked her to her door like a gentleman. She got to her door and I stood one step down. Suddenly, she turned and stepped toward me, gazed up into my eyes, put her hands on top of my shoulders, and rose up on her tip toes. I put my hands around her waist, she leaned into me hard, and gave me a lingering kiss that was so tender that it made my head swim.
The way she leaned against me, I wondered if her knees got weak.

We dated exclusively and wound up living together for two years. She was amazing. I loved her with all my heart and she loved me.

Guys or not? For guys I think it’s nice to have a girl that’s on her top toes to kiss you for sure and smaller - so I wouldn’t worry about it. I am 6ft3 and usually go for girls that are around 5.6 or 5.7 - and most girls like my height honestly

Height doesn’t really bother me. I’ve gone out with tall guys & short guys. Obs not shorter than me lol. I’ve never stumbled when hugging a taller guy before.

If you are falling forward, try to hook your hands behind both knees and push against his chest. If falling backwards make sure you have your hands grasped behind his waist and pull towards your outside leg. Both will land you in a dominant position.

It could happen if you were looking up. If you lose you balance often just by looking up, you should ask your doctor about it.

No I didn’t look up. I’ve hugged taller guys before but this has never happened before.

I'm 6' 9" and my ex was 5' 3" and she never had an issue with that. Maybe find a better position for your feet.
