How much the gap? And if never, would you date someone who has a big height gap with you?

I think it would be unusual for a woman to be much taller than a man. But the other way around happens all the time.

In college, I was regularly involved with men who were 9 to 11 inches taller than me. I'm short: 5'2", so this makes sense. But an average height woman, that's 5'5" in the U. S. would would still be 6 inches shorter than my first longtime boyfriend who was 5'11". A recent man friend was 6'1". My male cousins are too tall too.

It's hard to dance with someone with that much height difference. But they are convenient for me to get stuff out of my kitchen cabinets! Otherwise, unless you're talking about someone who's basketball player height, a foot difference doesn't matter.

But someone 4'2" would indeed be very small and unusual to date.

I'm 5'2 so everyone is taller than me! Every guy I've dated has been 6 ft or taller.

I did go on a date with a guy who said he was 5'6. When I met him he was shorter than me. Also had a crush on a friend of a friend who was shorter. I could see his bald spot.

At 5'10", I'm not exactly super tall, but I have always had an attraction to petite girls so most of my girlfriends have been significantly shorter than me. The shortest was 4'9 3/4" tall. My current girlfriend is a hair under 5'1".

My buddy is 6'5" and his wife (who I had to convince to give him a chance, because she originally didn't like him) is 4'10". She used to enjoy kissing him on my stairs, with her being 2 stairs higher so they were at eye level. I have a picture of that from about 1992...

Sure, I'm 6'2". It's pretty common for me to run into women 5'2 to 5'3. So a 12 inch height gap. My wife was 5'2". I'm pickier now. I try to stay in the 5 to 6 inch height gap range. But ya just never know what life is gonna throw at ya. I won't pass up a great woman because of height.

When I was younger (18-21). I dated a girl who was a lot taller than myself. She was 6' 8" & I was about 5'9". It was no big deal ti me. Sure we got looks and such but it wasn't a really big deal. We split up when she went away to school. We were friends for a long time afterwards. I never got to see her again after though. She passed away from poor health. May she rest in peace.

I'm 6'3" and I LOVE really short girls... like those around 5' or less. They are CUTE and we are CUTE together. So, yes I have and I love it. That said I'll potentially date anyone no matter their height. Tall girls can be hot too... same with average height girls. I wouldn't date a midget though. Like a REAL midget I mean by that. A medically diagnosed small person I wouldn't date. Sounds superficial but I'm being truthful. I think it's better for them to date others of same affliction.
