I think we each think the other side flips to the next situation faster... But the truth is that it's not easy on anyone IF YOU LOVED the other person.

If it was a short association and the people broke up then either one can rapidly bounce back (and tbh usually the guy finds someone first). If it's a longer association, women are SOCIALLY PRESSURED to "get back out there" while guys are left to whatever their preference is. It's the same standard as when we have a kid and everyone suddenly expects us to just sit up and go about business as usual when we actually still need time to physically and emotionally heal from a massive event in our lives.

Any healthy person knows how long it takes them to "bounce back" so try not to measure everyone with a universal yard stick.

Women is my bet... they have better friends and support to help them deal with a breakup than men usually do.

Irrelevant to gender. You'd think it's usually the person who initiated the breakup as they had probably moved on from the whole thing beforehand in some way already and were mentally prepared for the breakup before it happened.
