What are the clear signs a guy friend secretly likes you?

What would be some of the obvious signs that a guy friend has a crush on you? I spend pretty much everyday with this person but we never actually addressed the situation. He feels like he is my person because I can talk to him about anything and he always makes me smile 24/7 but i don’t know if it is because we spend so much time together that we have that connection. We have basically become part of each other’s routine everyday. We never hang out after work or text each other but he did tell me that he stalks my social media ( it randomly came up) I never thought that we actually had feelings for each other until today a girl was talking to him and touching on him and stared at me trying to push her away because he didn’t want me to see her too close to him. I kind of got jealous but I can’t control him since we are not dating but I felt that I wanted her to leave him alone and I am sure that he felt uncomfortable because he only lets me touch him. Afterwards he kept trying to make sure that I was not jealous and kept getting close to me. It’s giving that we should figure out what we are lol because I feel we are spending a lot of time together. Advice?
