Would you date a girl who is extremely shy, or is that a dealbreaker?

How important is it if a girl is extra shy or not? Would that make you reconsider dating her?

Dealbreaker for me since the last shy girl I dated. I am not playing the me carrying every conversation in hopes you are compatible once you get comfortable game again. The last time I just caused her pain by trying since she fell for me extremely deep extremely quick and then it sucked for her when I concluded she wasn't for me since when I was hard carrying everything to get her comfortable she thought she was doing well until the moment she had to admit she was just to boring for me.

I just know my type is chatty, and chattyness is important for me. I am easy going in conversations for people who have something to say since I always do my part. Multiple have pointed out I am easy to talk to. So its not on me if she is then to shy to speak.

Shy is a big red flag for me. It can be tied to a lot of other behaviors that are annoying too.

Timid.
Afraid of what other people think.
Need other people to like you.
Indecisive.

I don’t want to be the caretaker for an adult child. I don’t want a woman to be totally dependent on me. I don’t need her to be submissive. I’d rather have an adult who can make decisions, have her own interests, and her own friends. I’d rather have a woman who isn’t a doormat.

Many men would probably say no, but I think that’s because some people focus too much on superficial or physical aspects instead of personality and emotional connection. Although this is my perspective as a woman.

I used to think I liked shy girls because I was shy myself. Then as life went on, I realized it was so hard to break the ice with shy girls. I prefer a confident girl that knows what she wants. An outgoing, bubbly girl, that's fun to be around and brings a light to my life.

Not to worry though. There are tons of guys who like shy girls. If anything, being shy is a submissive trait, so I think more men are attracted to that kind of girl than not.

Tbh the whole shy thing can only be used for so long. If you don't talk to someone they won't care that you're shy. They will just move on.
