I have been looking for a husband for the past few years. I have not met 1 man who is suitable. Most men cannot support a wife and kids... expect his wife to work while she is pregnant. Lotta guys have absolutely no ambition for their careers, making more money. Women work full time jobs, only to come home to do 90% of the child care, housework. There are even men out there who want to be stay home dads while the woman gives birth, stay up all night breastfeeding, dealing with pain from a c section, post partum depression. He still wants her to be the breadwinner.

I honestly think its better to just go to the sperm bank and get high quality sperm from geniuses instead rather than trying to build a family with broke, lazy men who can't contribute.

Most women nowadays are selfish people , that think they deserve to be catered to at all times that think grass is greener on the other side , that only wants to be financially taken care of , without barely lifting a finger. So unfortunately in today’s society , if you aren’t rich or have a decent paying job , it’s a lot harder to get by these days , most couples both have to work nowadays just to make ends meet , to live a content lifestyle. And the funny part is , women are the reason why it’s this way today , because of women’s liberation , demanding they get treated equally with men , by being able to get careers and to play in sports etc.. instead of being a stay at home wife and mother By women wanting to be a part of all of this , it just made the economy expand , to create and have more jobs and raise the cost of things , So unfortunately women are the only ones to blame as to why it pretty much takes 2 incomes to make it these days. If you women kept your mouths shut , you all could of been stay at home wives and mothers’ living off of one income but just goes to show , women can’t keep their mouths shut lol I have always been a hard worker and I did everything I could to financially support my family , but unfortunately I was married to a girl that couldn’t hold a job or keep a job if her life depended on it , thinking I was suppose to be her walking ATM machine at all times , she also had a spending habit that was out of control and when money got tight , it was always my fault , but never her fault whatsoever, why she is now my ex and I will never be in a relationship with a user ever again in my life , if she doesn’t have work ethic, or can’t financially support herself and be a partner , I want nothing to do with her whatsoever, I don’t care how hot she is , she is not a good partner period. I only date girls’ that work and that know the concept of money and bills, otherwise she is useless

Up until the early 1970s, when women started entering the workplace in large numbers, salaries rose almost exactly with the cost of living. That began to diverge and salaries continued to fall as more women entered the workforce. And that makes sense: if you double the work force, you have far more supply of labor than you have demand for labor, and wages are going to fall.

Professional jobs for men used to be paid assuming that the man had a family that he was supporting, because that was the norm. Once women started working out of the home, that was no longer the assumption, and so men's wages fell.

This is called The Law Of Unintended Consequences. You cannot change one factor in a system and expect everything else to stay the same - it never does. Systems adjust to the new reality and balance is restored. Women wanted to work, the system adjusted, and now they have to work because men get paid much less. Now, two incomes are required, unless you are in the top 10% or so - but that means there will always be 90% who aren't in that group.

You must not be aware of the fact that in today's world, it is far harder to get a good job than it was 10 or even 20 years ago. A. I. is culling much of the white collar workforce and making it increasingly difficult for prospective candidates to even land an interview. This is happening to men who have degrees, and those who don't as well.

Today's economy is largely made up of people who are working two jobs to get to a higher standard of living, or having "side hustles" to bring in extra cash because even their $80k - $100k jobs are not enough to buy a house and pay off their student loans. Worst part is that gov and billionaires know all of this and they do not care.

Meanwhile, average/mediocre women - even overweight and unattractive ones - are demon-possessed by unrealistic social media, and staunchly wanting men who are millionaires to feed their vain desires.

I am the type of man who would love to be the one to work and have my wife choose whether she wants to work or be at home and I hold her down either way. Sadly, that's just not reality for most men.

In Nashville, TN (closest city to where I live) experts predict a single person needs to make nearly 6 figures JUST TO SURVIVE and try to have minimal amounts of fun and buy a house. And Nashville is not even in the top 5 most expensive cities in the U. S. I make $30 an hour and work overtime and am STILL struggling to survive.

MOST jobs do not pay 6 figures. The ones that do often require one to go into mountains of debt to obtain the credentials to qualify for the job. That debt will negate the benefit of making such a high salary until it can be paid off. The trades can eventually net a man such pay, but trades often require HARD PHYSICAL LABOR that will break a man's body down until he can no longer work or, in some cases, puts his life at risk every single day.

IF he chooses to live in a cheaper community, it often comes at the expense of lack of certain comforts women crave or having to drive great distances to find those comforts. Also increases commute to and from work, giving his less time to be with the family.

By your standards, most men are damned if they do damned if they don't.

Unfortunately, I think the time of single income households and long since ended. While I don't think women should work while pregnant, nor care for 90% of household errands, ~80% modern USA households require a dual income. Women should certainly take time off from that during pregnancy and the very early stages of motherhood to recover, but then she must return to work or else lower living conditions to match the decreased income. Everyone needs to do their share now- women in the workforce and men at home. If both parents are working, then both also need to take an even share of household duties However, I admit I am speaking as someone both single and childless. Still, as one of many holding a useless college degree... I don't see the economy improving soon and there is little men can do about it. "Ambition" rarely manifests materially anymore, and if something goes so long unrewarded, then of course it will diminish. If you want a better life, you're going to have to work for it yourself- find a man who can be a partner in that aim rather than a provider of it.

Part of it is the fact that prices have increased so that it takes 2 incomes to make it for most peope. Even 30 years ago a single blue collar job could support a medium sized household. Reduction of unions, wages not keeping up with inflation, and higher standards of living have made a single income household well outside of the reach of most people.

Think about this, average rent is what $2,000.00 a month or so?
Thats 24k just for housing, after taxes thats a 36k a year just for housing, add in utilities, food and transportation you're looking at a bare minimum of about 60k a year. More like 80k. To get to that level either takes a college degree which adds a significant amount of debt, or time climbing a corporate ladder.

Thats not lazy, that'seconomics. Sorry.

Well obviously. Cause women didn't use to work. So there was less money so the money was worth more. Now money is worth less cause there's more of it since women are now working too. Basic economics 101. The more supply, the less the value of it. Same goes for work and money. So it's actually a double whammy. Women joining the labour force not only increased the money in the family unit making it worth less than way, it also increased the supply of labour on the labour market, making that worth less too. So yeah, i'd say in a nutshell, feminism created this situation.

Costs on average have far outpaced increases in pay over the past 40 years. The other house I inherited, from my maternal grandparents in Costa Mesa, was assessed at $92K in 1992. Now it's valuation is $1.4M. Average pay has not increased 15 fold in the less than 35 years since.
