Do you meet and date people off the internet? what were your experiences?

Me personally will not meet anyone off the internet until they prove to me they are truly who they say they are , and look like the pictures they shown me , otherwise I won’t waste my time. A friend of mine meets girls’ off the internet all the time , without putting them through a test , I told him he is stupid to do that considering all the catfishes and scammers and liars that are on the internet. He invited girls’ off the internet to come to my house and to hang out with us and have some drinks , He would ask my approval first of course and show me pictures of the girl or girls’ that are coming over , unfortunately some of the ones that came over look nothing like the pictures he showed me , shit some of the girls’ could barely fit through my doorway , and I would be like WTF dude , this is why you have to put them through the test , but my friend likes them big , so I guess that’s why he doesn’t care lol

My experience is that scammers are VERY obvious, they can only exploit what is exploitable. I'm not love or sex deprived, while that's precisely what they exploit, so it cancels them. They also won't resist the test of time and scrutiny.

As for pictures different than reality, it never happened to me, because I'm not dating people off the internet from platforms that are image based. So the premise, about showing off visually, isn't there to begin with. I'm dating from a pool of online communities that have nothing to do with dating.

Got stood up on a date from an app once Tinder or similar Bumble.

I laugh it off to this day as a "glad I didn't get robbed or worse" - 🤭

i prefer to meet & date people from real life for sureee!!💯 but i have dated off tinder & bumble b4 when i was new to the country!!😊🤷🏻‍♀️

I agree. The internet seems like a great idea at first but the unlimited choice is a double edged sword. Stick with meeting people face to face.

The trouble is you don't really know what you're connecting with. The thing behind the keyboard could be a catfish or an Indian guy looking to scam you.

I've met women on dating apps. My summary of that experience is that it's a waste of time. Go meet people face to face in the real world. The unlimited choice offered by the internet is a trap for the average human mind. It brings out the worst in people.
