How do you feel when someone doesn't call you back after two days but just sends you a text not explaining why they didn't call you back?

I have a friend who will ignore calls or texts for 2 entire days... so I send another text... and then he tells me what he was just doing 10 minutes ago... as if it had anything whatsoever to do with the other 47+ hours he didn't answer. It drives me insane...

I really don't understand why so many people today expect an immediate response to a text or voicemail. That other person has things to do that may not make you their number one priority.

If the person isn't my partner then regardless of if they don't call me back or just text I don't usually care about it. The only time I care is if we had set plans that they blew off but then I just put them in the useless people pile (friends & family) that I stop feeling anything for and slowly fade out.

Depends on what I wanted from them, or at least desired from them to begin with. If it wasn't much of anything, then that two-day delay doesn't mean very much to me. If it was something more important to me, then I would have some concerns about it. People not calling back is a real red flag for me and suggests to me that they care as little about me as I subsequently will about them, which is to say not much at all.

It doesn't happen much, but I don't feel upset if they explain why. If it is valid then I get it. It is when it is a lame excuse when I roll my eyes.

I'm used to it. Everyone gets busy and not everyone cares or sees it as important. And it doesn't necessarily mean a person doesn't care just preoccupied.

Thats a shitty thing to do to a person after they take time out of there busy day the least they can do is return your call. But people only can do to you what you allow them to. I know they would never get another call from me

People can do whatever they want and that's fine with me. My choice is whether or not to be near them.
