Is it weird to be 30 and not have dated seriously for 5 years?

What I mean is, I have not been in a relationship for about 5 years. And honestly have been on a hand full of dates in this time.

Nothing ever has really clicked and I have been deciding to put my career first. I was wondering if people would find it weird being 30 and not really dating? So many people I know my age are getting married.

Do not get me wrong if someone came along that wanted to give a relationship a go I would. I just really have not been forcing the dating life.

What would/ do you think about this kinda situation.

I didn't go on any dates at all for longer than 5 years for quite a few reasons. Having other priorities and no good choices to get serious with is perfectly reasonable. Maybe don't go out of your way to mention it because people make assumptions but who cares what other people think anyway... forcing things usually goes badly anyway. You're almost surely better off being patient.

Oh yeah I agree. I refuse to rush things. I was just curious what people may think if I bring it up.

I have had co workers younger than me be super confused why I am ok not dating.

Eh, what they think says more about them than you. If they're judgmental or think it's weird or can't understand, you're better off without those types anyway.

Not really. There's not a whole lot a women dating anymore. They're either f***ing or just keeping to themselves. There is not much middle ground anymore.😆

Not at all. I haven't gone that long before because I don't like being lonely but your priorities are up to you. Plenty of people go longer.
