In life the only way to move is forward & as for you it’s time for you to face the sunshine & let the shadows cast behind you. As for your ex your ex is your ex & the best way to deal with an ex is to not deal with them at all. Life moves on.
I think you should just strike him off completely, little point " dealing " with him if he is going to be a genuine ex , why bother giving yourself grief?
