How do you handle talking to someone on a totally different wealth level?

There is this significantly older woman that I talked to from an app for a conference I didn't end up making it to, and the conversation has turned pretty sexual.. and I'm not really a gold digger as in I don't know if I actually want to meet her at all, the money isn't something that attracts me more, anyway, I looked up her house that she and her sons only use SOME of the time... and it's this gorgeous 6,300 something sq foot house in a pricey ski resort town with a Zillow value of over $6.4 million. Since she and her late husband paid $2.4 million for it, you can figure out the mortgage on that. In addition she owns a bunch of condos in four other cities in random places.. one of those is her "main" residence. She does not rent out these properties at all. She has to have an income in the millions I would think to support all these personal properties she's maintaining... I mean I am a bit jealous too.

I talk to them like any other person. It doesn't make any difference to me. I was playing soccer in elementary school with kids that live in houses that today are valued at $35 million dollars and I use to go to kids houses in high school on the Intracoastal Waterway that are valued at $25 million today and on the beach that are today valued at $45 million dollars. I grew up in schools that had kids that were bused in from the projects that lived off of school lunch and food stamps, and with people that came from families with hundreds of millions in assets and I was friends with all of them and they always seem to remember me. Countless times my brother has run into random people at parties that I played soccer with at like 5 or 7 years old that remember me even though their family might be billionaires or whatever. I always keep it real. Money doesn't influence me whatsoever.

That's Boca Raton, Florida and Highland Beach, Florida which is wedged in between Boca Raton, and Delray Beach. Highland Beach is basically Boca for all intensive purposes, but it's where large beach mansions are given, that Boca Raton beaches are mostly public parks and high rise condos.

Large beach mansion estates that have both beach front property and docks on the Intracoastal Waterway can run up in that $45 million range. I just looked up one of my friends old houses when I was a kid and the last sale value was $45 million. He had jet skies in his back yard on the beach and shit like that. It was a big house... The $35 million dollar house I looked up was a soccer friend that I won the Mayors Cup with. We played on the same team for 4 years. His parents had a house on 5th Ave in Boca Raton. It was like a 5 acre plot on the Intracoastal Waterway that had a boat house were the yacht was stored and the staff lived, private tennis courts, a large main house, and lots of garden space, and a large field that was kept as grass for us to play soccer and for them to hold events on the waterway. The $25 million house I looked up was a friends house on Lake Boca/Intracoastal Waterway. It was a reasonably large house with a large pool and a dock for their cigarette boat and other stuff. I grew up with a lot of very rich people around me and my family did accounting and property management for a lot of famous people like the founder of Dunkin Donuts, members of the Kennedy family, Adam Sandler, etc. but clearly accountants don't make the sort of bank that movie stars and billionaire business moguls do. My childhood house is worth around $1.3 million right now but my parents bought it for around $120K.

We were middle class. We did fine and my parents owned their own business, but clearly there was vast wealth disparity between me and many kids around me. Some of those kids have been politicians and others are famous comedians, many just went into the family business, etc. So money has never been something that can impress me. I know how wealthy people grow up, how they do in school, how they live, all the shit they get into, like anyone else and then at 18 they just get a massive multi million trust fund, their parents write a letter and they get into ivy league schools even though they are average students, they do average in college and then get placed at a family owned company in a high level position and make bank. They are pretty much all just average people of average ability and talent, but their families have generational wealth. It is what it is...

When you know how things work, you realize people that go to ivy league schools aren't actually smart or talented and that CEOs of large corporations aren't brilliant and didn't work hard to get where they are. Someone in their family did well at one point in history and as a result their mediocre family members get to live an easy life until they screw up. There is a lot of propaganda to make average people think that they are "elite", but a lot of them are fucking retarded. Don't buy the hype. Most wealthy people inherit their wealth. They aren't smart, they aren't talented, they aren't tenacious or hard working, they aren't leaders, etc. One guy in their family made it big and then after that they set up systems to manage the family wealth in a trust with a lot of smart people that are hired to advise the heirs on how to not lose the family fortune.

around 73% of billionaires in the US are self-made, but obviously there’s a lot of generational wealth, especially at a lower level than that. And yeah, the problem with this of course is there’s many undeserving people who get it because bloodline does not determine value. But I guess in our society it does.

You can buy into whatever fake news you want to delude yourself with, but this is generally how it works in Boca. Kid gets credit card at 13 or 14 and can buy whatever (s) he wants at the mall, go to the movies, arcade, restaurants, etc. Parents pay bill in total every month. (S) He doesn't have to work an afternoon job in middle school/high school for extra money just focus on school/sports and leisure. At 15 kid gets choice of BMX, Mercedes, Lexus, Range Rover brand new off the lot to learn how to drive in when they get theri drivers permit. That is their trainer vehicle. Sometimes they get a new one a year later when they pass their drivers licence test. Some of the wealthy kids go to public school because Boca High is an A+ rated school anyway and others go to private schools like Saint Andrew's School or equivalent basically for networking with other rich families that are all going to Ivy League schools. They already know which one they are going to in 6th grade because that's were their Dad went to school. When they turn 18 before even graduating high school they get access to their trust fund. In the 1990s this was generally in the ballpark of $10-15 million dollars. Today who knows, maybe $30 million. After they graduate high school, their parents buy them a condo generally in the city they are going to school for a bachelors pad. For example one guy I knew got $10 mil at 18, then got into Harvard University as and As and Bs student (3.5 GPA) with a letter from his Dad, and was given a new Austin Martin upon admission to Harvard and a half million dollar condo in Boston (in the late 90s). Does he have more wealth than he was given at the start? Sure... Do you call that self made? I don't.

A lot of rich kids will make up a self made man story like... I was working my way through college when put a down payment on my first rental property and from there I just grew my business. What they don't tell you is that their trust fund supplied them with enough money to outright purchase 35 rental properties before they graduated high school which would give them cash flow of over $1.5 million a year, but they were too busy partying in college looking for some girl to marry and didn't have the discipline to manage 35 properties at 18, so they took on 1 property at first to get their feet wet and kept the rest of their trust fund diversified in other assets until they were ready to get down to business... Lie by omission to create a narrative of self made man... :)
