Why do people cheat in relationships, and what drives them to do it?

They don't value their relationship, commitment, and/or partner as much as they should. They either don't think they will ne caught, or they don't care about the consequences. If one is seriously considering cheating, they should reevaluate their relationship before acting. In my opinion, temporary sexual pleasure isn't worth losing a partner.

People cheat in relationships due to emotional disconnection, unmet sexual desires, and low self-esteem. motivations behind infidelity might be neglect, anger, lack of love, low commitment, sexual desire, variety, situational circumstance, and boost in self-esteem.

there's a general difference in the reasons as to why between men and women. Things could be brilliant at home with their partner but they still cheat.

For men its because they were horny and easy sex is available.

For women its because for whatever reason they believe their partner isn't good enough for them, he could be the perfect guy for her yet in her head he's a loser and the grass is greener, so she closes herself off from him emotionally goes looking for another partner.

People cheat when something is wrong with the primary relationship. That is never an excuse, but that is still the reality. If someone cheats on you, you better analyze where you went wrong.

Immoral, low quality people are the type that cheat. They also do other immoral things in life too besides just cheating. Most have liberal morals.

They're cheaters. There is nothing to understand beyond that. Their lack of character drives them to do it.
