Why do people cheat?

I’ve noticed that people who seem to have a “perfect” relationship always cheat. Often times it is the man who has a great wife and life that cheats with someone of less value. Why?

Genetics dictate that human should cheat as much as possible to increase their genetic variations and number of offsprings. This will reduce the probability of catastrophic events killing all of their gene pool.

Sort of like continuation of bloodlines. Supposed that a husband cheat and impregnate his mistress. Then his whole family is killed in a plane accident. The mistress will still survive and bring his child into adulthood and continue his bloodline. Of course you will invest more and effort on your main offsprings but if you can afford it then you will also invest resources into your backups.

The dude keeps up that apperiance. They don't have a perfect relationship they never take the relationship seriously therefore never have difficulty descussions or their differience in opinion. He's living a miserable life because he built a relationship built on superficial lies and indulges in cheap thrills instead of facing the music. He's a coward basically.

They want their cake and ice cream and to eat it. They are overall selfish because they probably only desire and posses few qualities of their girlfriend or wife but need more satisfaction to whats missing and that's what leads to cheating. It's sad people can't just be honest. I've been cheated on many times and it's so terrible. Nobody appreciates loyalty these days.

Anyone who cheats thinks the grass is always greener. What looks like a perfect relationship from the outside usually isn't - and they want to try something else without losing what they have already just in case. Or it is and they just want more.

I'm not condoning it.
Nor do I believe it is only men who cheat.

Many people like to present themselves as perfect to the world when they or their relationships are actually completely fucked up.

I’ve known these couples. They’re on social media posting pictures all loved up, posting quotes and shit like that, praising their partners. Behind closed doors they’re at each other’s throats constantly, doing shady shit behind each other’s backs, shit talking each other.

Don’t always believe your eyes.
