Inseparable? They’re already separated by the distance, and even that fact makes it harder to actually share a fundamental level of closeness as opposed to fondness. LDRs in general need a silver lining, an end date, and without that you are just glorified pen pals making wishes on the phone. If he’s serious about you then you’ll know because he will be serious about closing that gap, or vice versa. Otherwise you’re just prolonging the inevitable.
