Holy s#!+ Show.
A long time ago, I met a girl in a nightclub and we danced and kissed and I asked her out. Then she told me she was still living with a guy, but she claimed he was her ex-boyfriend and that she had plans to move out.
So we started dating and she did actually move out about a month later. I even helped her move all her things and into her new apartment.
Then we went to this party and when she was away, a guy approached me and said, "Hey, what are you doing? She's taken." Me: "What? That's my new girlfriend!"
I then learned from his this guy and others that she never actually broke up with her boyfriend! They were friends of the boyfriend. I felt so played. I broke things off immediately after but I was really fooled there.
There were lots of red flags in hindsight. I was too smitten to notice. For example, she wanted to move her furniture from her apartment at 2 AM in the morning saying she didn't want to disturb the "ex-boyfriend". I was too foolish to think of it as a red flag. Also she was really flakey about meeting me at times, often coming up with excuses about how she's busy. She was very pretty and I was very young and foolish. 😅
Yes, I was dating a girl for about 3 months, getting on really well, only found out when I booked a holiday for us both. I popped to her parents house, I had never met them but needed to drop off holiday stuff (insurance form I think). I was asked why John (or whatever her boyfriend was called) was not dropping off the documents. I was a bit surprised and casually mentioned she may want to go on holiday with her other boyfriend. It turns out she was going to get engaged (as in he was going to ask her). I just walked away.
I’m so sorry that happened to you 😕

That must have been a terrible shock! Thankfully, I have never had that experience.
No. I suggest you do a better job screening people you date and ask harder questions. Sounds like he’s not as much of an introvert as you thought if he is dating multiple people. And it sounds like you have to get over being too much of an introvert. But, I only know as much as you’ve shared, so…
I'm not an introvert and never thought he was... He just did a great job at hiding.
“…both of us are very introverted…”
I can only go off the information you give. Why else would you cite that question?
That’s a neat picture of what I assume is of your horse on your profile. My aunt really likes her horses and is very particular about who she allows to ride them. I hope you’re as responsible as she is with her horses.
I didn't cite any question. That's just something GAG automatically put there for some reason
I believe it's because it answers what "seeing someone" means
Yeah as soon as you write that it auto links to it
^^^I’ll be damned, it does. Well then, I’d still recommend intense screening to avoid future shit shows. No question should be off the table. That would piss me off.
Damn you got played, hasn't happened to me personally but hopefully it wasn't that serious and you have an easy time moving on.
But bummed, but not the end of the world. I feel really bad for her though, they were together for 5 years and had just moved to the area when he got on dating apps 💀
Well being bummed only means you had high hopes which is only normal when dating, don't feel too bad for her, you did her a favor, you shined a light on his flake, 5 years is enough time wasted tbh, now y'all can both find better 🤷🏽♂️
Luckily I have not been in that situation before.
I haven't, but I had a friend who was dating what he thought was a "great girl" for several months until he found out she was engaged to another man!
I am sorry to hear that… some people can be real jerks….
No, but it'd be an instant breakup.
Of course, she also broke up with him
Well he wasn't in an LTR. She might be
nope
yes !!!
