Where I live, we get a huge influx of out of town people in the summer. Tons of people have their little flings and then go their separate ways at the end of summer. Ever had one and was it worth it?
Yes, I've had a few of them. When I was young, just after high school, I had a summer fling with a girl I met at an end of school year picnic. In college, I had one with a girl my sister set up a blind date for me. After my divorce, I had a summer fling with a woman I met online.
Each was fun. In hindsight, all were clearly not going beyond fling status, and they didn't.
I kind of did this summer. I have a very casual friends with benefits in college who was away for he summer. We both were ok if each other had some summer fun as long as condoms were used all the time. I got into a bit of a fun fling with a girl from work and we had some fun times but no strings attached.

Yes, When I was younger and I stayed at wildwood NJ for the whole summer , with friendsā I had a few , that I would fool around with, when I saw them again in the summer time , some of them already had boyfriendsā and husbandsā which I thought was fucked up , but at that time, I was all about having fun and getting laid , so I knew that it wasnāt going to become more than just friendsā with benefits pretty much. And of course I didnāt know she was taken until after we had sex. Plus some of them lived far away and would only come for a few weeks with their friendsā just goes to show girlsā trips arenāt as innocent as guyās would like to think it is , So many people cheat, when they are on vacations without their partnersā by their side. I have witnessed and experienced it plenty of times , to the point I am now cautious about who I give my heart to. I think I got PTSD from witnessed and experiencing it so many times 😂

Honestly, yes. It started as one of those āweāre just having fun, nothing seriousā situations, and of course my heart didnāt receive the memo. We started talking more, hanging out, laughing over the most ridiculous things, and suddenly I was checking my phone like it was a full-time job.
The funny part was that we both knew it was supposed to be temporary, but somehow we started acting like we had a whole relationship roadmap. Then summer ended and reality came knocking. It didnāt turn into some dramatic love story, but it was definitely one of those little chapters that makes you smile when you remember it. Sometimes the shortest connections leave the funniest memories.
I had a two-week long fling in Summer 2025, that ended up being better and more substantial than my last 6 month relationship that ended early this year.
It's hard for me to answer if the fling was "worth it" or not... I have mixed feelings about the situation.
She treated me very well, though. I have fondness for her, especially when compared to the connections I had since.

Yes, I have several times. Either on a vacation or later, when I lived in a tourist location. The one that lastest longest was six months. It's usually way shorter.

I had a summer fling but it wasnāt with a girl from out of town. She was a friend of my brotherās girlfriend
It was worth it but I felt bad in the end. She told my brotherās girlfriend to relay the message that she wanted to have sex with me.
