Should it be normalized to be able to call off any date within five minutes guilt-free if you're not feeling the other person's vibe?

I mean, in most cases you really need more than 5 minutes to know someone, but undoubtedly there are those people you just pick up a bad vibe from like they are dangerous, bad hygiene, creepy, or just looking for sex. I think in those cases it's OK to go, especially before they feel entitled to something just because they paid for dinner (unless you decided to split it up front). Even then, your time is your own and safety is paramount. You should end things whenever you feel like something isn't sitting right.
Yes. Sometimes five minutes is all you need.
I think sometimes the first 5 minutes is a bit premature to completely judge someone. For some people, it takes a while to get comfortable... ya know... break the ice and all that. Sometimes they're really nervous because they find you really attractive and fuck up what they want to say. Not every successful relationship had magical chemistry to begin with. A lot of the time, chemistry is built. n
If someone is only willing to give me 5 min to make a determination I say I dodged a bullet. Go right ahead lol. I mean unless I was literally a garbage person for the first 5 minutes straight I don't see how you can figure that out but to each their own.

I have actually carried the belief that anyone I meet is worth at least two minutes of my time and within those two minutes I usually know if they are worth anymore of my time gotta thin em out somehow I have no clue what my time is worth because I don't know how much of it is left..
Are you talking 5 minutes before the date or 5 minutes into the date? Before is unacceptable, during is just the reality of dating. Though one does wonder how you were able to come to such a conclusion so quickly? Also I don't put much stock in vibes, a bit more in words, and most in actions.
It could be one more step towards turning dating business into an assembly line lol
That won't bother me though, I never had to rely on that specific dating system and I doubt I ever will
I voted A and i got stood up just before Covid
I call the chick and she's like "I changed my mind" - now it's the stuff of my folklore life story 🤳🏻 📱
maybe... if they also wear the Q on their foreheads
and the other are aware of that they're premature quitters
then it would be more fair for all sides involved
I think 5 minutes is too short.
But more or less 20 minutes or so should be fine.
But really it should be proportional to the time and effort in making the trip.
There was one online date I should have ended immediately because the woman had posted a picture ten years and a hundred pounds ago.
You are, and should be, free to leave at any point.
Shouldn't have to be with anyone for anything if you don't want to. Wasting life time is a waste. Life's short live it up!
I feel somebody should leave when they feel like it’s time to go, whenever that is
I think it takes more than 5 minutes to get to know a person, their "vibe" and more about them
Disrespectful, i'd never do such things, even if me and my date didn't get along!
You should give it a reasonable amount of time to make that decision. Five minutes is not reasonable.
No cause whay could you really know about a person in 5 minutes. Just think about it what could a person know about you in 5 minutes?
You can't form an opinion about someone within 5 minutes based off of a vibe. That's bullshit. Whoever thought of this is a jackass
Have done it. Why waste time.
Yikes
