I have usually gone out with guys around my age. I have dated guys up to seven years older or one year younger. I was asked out by a guy who is fifteen years my junior (46-31). I have heard of this but never tried it. He is a really nice cute guy. Should I try this? Does anybody have any experience with the man being fifteen years younger? It is not what I expected and is unconventional, but as long as to many people don't talk, I am willing to try. What do you think?
4K opinions shared on Dating topic. IMHO no. I have to deal with that proposition several times a year and flatly refuse bc they’re still at an age where they can go have kids and start families and I don’t want to hamper that. Also, some guys honestly seem like they just want “the older woman experience” or a random fling and I don’t do either of those.

10 dAbsolutely nothing wrong with that! Age is just a number. Think about it like this, a year is a measure of how long it takes the Earth 🌎 to make a full orbit around the sun. We use this single measure to define someone's age or presence on the planet. It's like, so what? You've been around 40 odd cycles and he's been around 30 odd. In terms of maturity and responsibility, only 70 years ago most people were married with children by the time they were 20. So don't worry about having a younger boyfriend in terms of what people might say. The only thing that I would say is usually, many younger guys may not be keen on committing to a relationship. Good luck 🍀🤞🏻

2.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Seen a few cases. It seems that such relationships have a shelf. The guy eventually decided to look for a younger women that he could have a child with.
By all means have fun, enjoy etc, but I kinda think and the older person has to be prepared to let go of the younger.

Please don't even consider the age difference. Just be happy! 🙂

9 dWhen I was 24 I had a relationship with a lady who was 41. The relationship was great, till her friends and family got the better of her with the "robbing the cradle" nonsense. I am now 31 and would have no issue dating a lady your age. As long as you get along and enjoy each others company it is really no one else's business.

Anonymous(25-29)10 dif he is interested in you, it might mean you look a lot younger than your age. You can date him. But realize that most large age gap relationships usually end up with the younger party either straying or settling in the later stages. Once you are 60 and he is 45, that is when the issues hit. He might settle for you if he is a good man or he might stray

Its common sense.Okay. I thought maybe you had a thing with a younger guy once.
Opinion Owner9 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
no. its based off of years of observation. Large age gap relationships rarely ever tend to have happy endings. You can't grow old with someone who is already old.
Opinion Owner9 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
I would go for a younger guy but there is a limit to how much younger I will goHow old are you? What's your age range?
Opinion Owner9 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
I'm 30. I'm willing to date 26-39.What about something short term with someone younger than that? Just curious.
Opinion Owner9 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
because after you have fun for too long... it gets boring. I spent my entire 20s playing around, its time for something seriousThat sounds so depressing honestly.
How much fun did you have when you were in your twenties?
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
Too much fun till it wasn't even fun anymore. As you get older, you realize fun is something very short and fleeting. None of these memories you will actually cherish. Memories you will cherish are your genuine relationships with people you love. You can chat me if you feel like it.
Just a thought.
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
Another thing I've realized is... time passes by faster than you think. And dating and mating is mainly for the young. Many people over estimate the amount of time they have to get married and have kids, especially men. Dating sucks as you get older. If you won't settle while you are young, you will end up settling when you get old. Everyone wants to meet their one true love or their magical unicorn but it never ends up happening for most people. People just marry who they like by the time they reach a certain age
So be very careful when you want to "have fun". Have fun but don't do it for too longDo you think you had fun for too long?
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
yes but it wasn't entirely my fault. I lived in an overpopulated commitment phobic city. And I also had a hard time liking the guys that I went out with.
In hindsight, I should've prioritized dating more instead of studying so much.
Harsh reality is... if you're still not engaged or married by 40, the chances of you ever marrying is pretty low. This isn't just for women, it's for men too. Dating is a young person's game. You're only thirty though. Thirty isn't that old.
Can I ask where you live? Like what country?
Do you not enjoy dating anymore? Have you given up trying to find someone who's husband material?
You can send me a DM if you want. This thread is getting really long.
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
Good ones get taken as they get older is very true. It definitely gets harder to find a high-quality person who is still single past the age of 40. Most of these are leftovers that never got picked by anyone. If someone has spent a lifetime being single till an old age, they are usually single for a reason. Most of the time, it's not a good reason. You sound a little bitter, no offense.
You're only thirty. You're not old.
Do you still get asked out a lot by guys?
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
Some people grow old and they learn from their mistakes.
Other people grow old and are still as ignorant as they were when they were young.
I'm telling you the truth... believe it.
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
my bitterness comes from realizing I've made mistakes.
those who aren't bitter tend to never have made these mistakes or they are just too dumb to realize the truth. But it's not like your life is over. You still have plenty of time to find a husband.
Are you seeing anyone now?
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
sweetie, you don't have the rest of your life to find love. People get more asocial as they get older. Most divorced people tend to be very jaded and afraid of commitment or have too many responsibilities with children to have any time leftover to date. And the old people who do want to date have standards too high for their own good. Most old people usually don't even want to date other old people. This is just from what I have seen over the years.
Of course there are rare exceptions but this is the general ruleHave you given up?
Maybe you should do what the Question Asker is doing. Find a younger guy and screw his brains out.
Opinion Owner8 d@EveryDayIsPretzelDay
That doesn't do anything for me
